June 5, 2000:

Building 9 Skredsvik

The new command quarters was meant to be built completely by prefabrication, because there was so little time. But in the end, construction on site proved to be quicker.

The building is made entirely out of wood, with vertical panels painted with distemper paint. The entrance is painted in ochre yellow, in contrast to the other black walls. The large windows allow the living rooms plenty of visual contact with the greenery outside.

The rooms are organised along the long side of the house, with service spaces in the middle. Over the living room, the double pitched roof is traded for single pitched roof with the same angle, allowing for a greater height in this space.

The building has been much appreciated by its users, both for its short building period, and for its living qualities.
